Get Scuba Certified for Course Credit at AUBURN UNIVERSITY!

We offer three courses through Auburn University that allow you to earn your Open Water certification, Advanced Open Water certification, or Dive Master certification. Each class is a 2 credit hour physical education elective course.

Pool lab options for all University students (only ONE day is required to sign up for). Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 1:00-3:00 pm OR Sundays from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Along with pool lab sessions there is a lecture portion of the course held on Tuesdays at EITHER 4:00 PM or 5:00 PM.

"Scuba 1"

Earn your entry level Open Water Diver certification with our Scuba 1 course. No experience is necessary, but you must be able to swim. Course number is PHED-1760.

"Scuba 2"

Our Scuba 2 program gives you the opportunity to earn your Advanced Open Water Diver certification. You must be certified by a recognized agency to begin this course. Classes are held on Tuesday evenings from 6:00 - 8:00 PM (depends on lecture time and course information for the night).

"Scuba 3 "

Our scuba 3 program gives you the opportunity to earn your Dive Master certification. You must be an experienced diver with at least 40 dives to begin this program. Classes are held on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 - 8:00 PM (depends on lecture time and course information for the night).
